The Transfer Station & Recycling Centers is now open on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The large culvert on Rinehart Road (500 feet north of Barker Road) is being replaced by Hunter Excavating between now and mid-October, 2025. The following work will be completed on this project:
Temporary Bypass Road: The road will have a detour bypass upstream of the existing culvert.
Existing Culvert: The culvert will be replaced with a large 18’ x 6’ x 56’ precast concrete box.

The Town of Londonderry is considering submitting applications to the State of Vermont for 2 CDBG Disaster Recovery Implementation Grants and 1 CDBG Disaster Recovery Planning Grant under the Vermont community Development Program. A public hearing will be held at 5:00 pm on 09/25/2025 at the Town Office at 100 Old School Street, So. Londonderry VT 05155 to obtain the views of citizens on community development, to furnish information concerning the amount of funds available and the range of community development activities that may be undertaken under this program, the impact to any historic and archaeological resources that may be affected by the proposed project, and to give affected citizens the opportunity to examine the proposed statement of projected use of these funds. The proposal is to apply for a total of $2,100,000 in CDBG-DR funds. The Public Hearing Notice is HERE
The Town of Londonderry’s Planning Commission is holding a hearing on the updated Town Plan on 09/26/2025 at 6:00 pm at the Town Office. The notice is HERE The Draft Plan is HERE
At their 08/18/2025 regularly scheduled meeting, the Town of Londonderry Selectboard adopted an Ordinance Regulating Dogs and Wolf-Hybrids. The purpose of the ordinance is to regulate the keeping of dogs and wolf hybrids and to provide for their leashing, muzzling, restraint, impoundment and destruction, to protect the public health and safety of the Town and preserve the quiet enjoyment of residents’ homes and properties. This ordinance supersedes the prior Dog Ordinance. The Windham County Sheriff’s Office invites the public to attend a series of upcoming public meetings about the Windham County Sheriff’s Regional Policing Initiative, a forward-looking effort to improve access to rural law enforcement through shared services across municipalities. At their regularly scheduled meeting on 07/08/2025, the Town of Londonderry Selectboard adopted a Public Records Request Policy. This policy formalizes the request process and establishes a fee structure. The policy is HERE. To initiate a public records request, please fill out this form HERE. At the Londonderry Selectboard meeting of June 16, 2025 it was decided that all clean wood burning at the Londonderry Transfer station would cease. Leaf and yard debris can still be brought to the Transfer Station. The Stump Dump will remain open until the road leading to it is closed for the winter. 2025 Transfer Station stickers Residential – $15, Commercial – $40 available only at the Landgrove, Londonderry, Peru, Weston and Windham Town Offices.
For all positions, a completed Employment Application can be mailed to the Town Office or sent to townadmin@londonderryvt.org. Positions open until filled. EOE.
Part-time position attending meetings on 2nd & 4th Mondays at the Town Office (100 Old School Street) early evening for usually 2 hours. Accurate recording key information, including discussions, decisions, and action items, and motions, to create clear and concise meeting minutes. In person meeting attendance is preferred. Job requires timely drafting of accurate, thorough and informative minutes and follow Vermont Open Meeting Law requirements and Roberts Rule of Order.
